Introducing Hart Farm C.S.A 2021!
Hello Downeast Maine! Our names are Andrew and Becky and we are the new owners of the 160 acre Hart Farm at 430 Copeland Hill Road in Holden, ME. We are overjoyed at the opportunity to get to know our immediate community by becoming dependable producers of affordable and nutritionally dense foods. We purchased the farm with easements, held by the Holden Land Trust and the Maine Farmland Trust, ensuring that our property has miles of maintained public trails as well as continuing the unique agricultural heritage of the area. It is with great excitement that we are now introducing the 2021 Hart Farm C.S.A! "C.S.A" stands for Community Supported Agriculture and is a system for providing fresh farm foods direct to the consumer while providing farmers with capital for the many upfront costs of operating a farm. How it works: We are offering 30 total shares for 2021. A share costs $500.00 (or $25.00 per week) and is paid during the winter (February 1st 2021) T
